Description
Himax Ointment is a broad-spectrum Ayurvedic veterinary formulation used exclusively to treat skin conditions and wounds in animals (dogs, cats, cattle, horses, and livestock). It possesses strong antiseptic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and fly-repelling properties.
Uses
- Wound Care: Promotes healing of cuts, surgical injuries, deep-seated wounds, and burns.
- Skin Infections: Treats ringworm, mange, eczema, psoriasis, and other fungal (dermatomycosis) issues.
- Livestock Conditions: Manages foot rot in sheep and foot lesions associated with Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD).
- Pest Deterrent: Acts as a fly and mite repellent to prevent re-infestation and maggot formation.
Ingredients
Himax is made from plant-based phyto-actives and mineral sources. Key active components include:
- Haridra (Turmeric / Curcuma longa): Provides antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant benefits.
- Karanja (Pongamia pinnata): Acts as an antifungal and aids in skin repair.
- Devadaru (Cedrus deodara): Offers antiseptic and pain-relieving properties.
- Gandhaka (Sulfur): Helps detoxify and combat microbes.
- Other traditional herbal extracts like Indradaru, Surbhidaru, Somvalka, and Tarun.
How to Apply
- Clean the affected area with mild soap and water, then pat dry.
- Apply a thin layer of the ointment.
- Massage it gently into the skin.
- Repeat 1 to 2 times daily or as advised by a veterinarian.
