Imizet Injection 10ML

Imizet Injection is a veterinary antiparasitic/antiprotozoal medication used exclusively for animals (not for human use). It is primarily administered by veterinarians to treat and prevent vector-borne hemoprotozoan diseases, such as Babesiosis and Anaplasmosis, in dogs, cattle, buffaloes, and horses.

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Imizet is Imidocarb Dipropionate.

Each 1 mL of the sterile injectable solution typically contains:

• Imidocarb Dipropionate: 120 mg
• Excipients/Aqueous Base: q.s. (Quantum Satis) to ensure the proper concentration for safe administration

Uses

Imizet acts as both a curative and preventive measure against blood parasites. Its primary applications include:

• Babesiosis: Treats clinical signs and eliminates protozoa (Babesia) from the blood, which are commonly transmitted to pets and livestock via tick bites.
• Anaplasmosis: Treats infections caused by Anaplasma, which invade red blood cells in cattle and livestock.
• Other Vector-Borne Diseases: Often prescribed off-label for Ehrlichiosis and Hepatozoonosis in dogs, as well as Piroplasmosis in horses.
• Prophylaxis (Prevention): Can be used to prevent these diseases in endemic tick-prone regions.
