Description
Lorexane is a veterinary topical cream used to treat wounds, sores, and abrasions in animals, acting as an antibacterial agent and fly repellent. It is strictly for animal use (such as for dogs, cats, and cattle) and is not intended for humans.
Composition & Uses
The cream features a triple-action formula that includes
- Gamma Benzene Hexachloride: Controls parasites, prevents maggots, and repels flies.
- Proflavine Hemisulphate: Provides antibacterial protection.
- Cetrimide: Works as a surface disinfectant and antiseptic.
How to Use
- Clean the wound thoroughly by removing any maggots and dirt.
- Apply a liberal layer of the cream over the affected skin area twice daily until the wound heals.
- Always wear gloves during application and wash your hands thoroughly afterward.
- Ensure the animal does not lick or scratch the area, using a protective collar if necessary.
Precautions & Storage
It is strictly for external use on animals and must be kept away from their eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes. Store the tube in a cool, dry place below 25°C and do not allow it to freeze.
