Beetapet Dry Syrup is an advanced veterinary antibiotic formulated for dogs and cats. It is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, including those of the respiratory tract (pneumonia), skin, ears, nasal sinuses, and urinary tract. It is not effective against viral infections like the common cold.

Ingredients

Each 5 ml of reconstituted Beetapet suspension contains a powerful combination of two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin Trihydrate (200 mg): A broad-spectrum penicillin-type antibiotic that kills bacteria by disrupting their cell wall formation.
• Potassium Clavulanate / Clavulanic Acid (50 mg): A β-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacteria from neutralizing the amoxicillin, significantly boosting the antibiotic’s overall effectiveness.

Common Uses & Indications

Veterinarians prescribe this medication for:

• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Abscesses, cellulitis, and wound infections.
• Respiratory Infections: Pneumonia and bacterial upper respiratory conditions.
• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Bladder and kidney infections.

Preparation & Storage

• Mixing: The medication comes as a dry powder that must be reconstituted. Slowly add the provided sterile water up to the ring mark on the bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is fully dissolved.
• Storage: Once mixed, the syrup must be stored in a refrigerator (2° C – 8° C).
• Shelf Life: Discard any remaining suspension after 7 days.
