Description
Ridd liquid is a veterinary topical solution (containing 12.5% Amitraz) used to treat and control external parasites in animals. It acts as a potent miticide and parasiticide to eliminate ticks, fleas, mites, and lice, and is commonly used to treat severe skin conditions like sarcoptic and demodectic mange.
Primary Uses
- Tick and Flea Control: Eliminates existing tick and flea infestations and helps prevent future outbreaks.
- Mange Treatment: Highly effective in managing both sarcoptic and demodectic mange.
- Lice Elimination: Treats lice infestations on the skin and coat.
- Symptom Relief: Relieves skin irritation, redness, and severe itching caused by parasitic activity.
How to Use (Application Guidelines)
- Bathe First: Bathe the animal thoroughly using a mild shampoo and dry them with a towel to remove excess moisture.
- Dilute Properly: Dilute the liquid concentrate with water as directed by the manufacturer. For ticks and fleas, a common dilution is 2 ml of Ridd per liter of water.
- Apply Generously: Apply the solution all over the animal’s body using a sponge or spray. For mange, ensure thorough scrubbing of the affected area.
- Do Not Rinse: Allow the solution to dry completely on the coat. Do not wash or bathe the animal for at least a week after application.
