Description
Hitek Injection (typically 10 mg/ml concentration) is a veterinary broad-spectrum antiparasitic medication primarily used for livestock and pets. It is highly effective at treating and controlling both internal (endoparasites) and external (ectoparasites) parasitic infestations.
Ingredients
Each ml of Hitek Injection contains:
- Active Ingredient: Ivermectin IP (10 mg)
- Preservative: Benzyl Alcohol IP (15 mg)
- Solvent/Vehicle: Propylene Glycol IP (q.s.)
Primary Uses
It is formulated to treat and control a wide range of parasites, including:
- Internal Parasites: Gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, eye worms, and skin/muscle worms.
- External Parasites: Ticks, mites (causing mange), lice (sucking and biting), cattle grubs, and screw-worm fly larvae.
Target Animals & Dosage
The standard dose for Cattle, Sheep, Goats, and Camels is 1 ml per 50 kg body weight. For Pigs, it is 1 ml per 33 kg body weight. It is administered via subcutaneous injection (under the skin).
