Description
Fiprofort Plus for Dogs is a topical spot-on solution used to treat and prevent infestations of fleas, ticks, and chewing lice. It utilizes two active ingredients—Fipronil to kill adult parasites and (S)-Methoprene to disrupt the flea life cycle—providing protection for up to 30 days.
Active Ingredients
- Fipronil (9.8% w/v): A potent insecticide that attacks the nervous system of adult fleas, ticks, and lice, causing rapid paralysis and death.
- S-Methoprene (8.8% w/v): An insect growth regulator (IGR) that mimics juvenile hormones in insects. It stops flea eggs, larvae, and pupae from developing into adults, effectively breaking the breeding cycle and preventing re-infestation.
Primary Uses
- Kills Adult Parasites: Eliminates adult fleas, brown dog ticks, American dog ticks, lone star ticks, and deer ticks.
- Breaks the Life Cycle: Prevents flea eggs and larvae from maturing, controlling environmental infestations.
- Controls Lice: Effectively treats chewing lice infestations.
- Manages Skin Conditions: Aids in the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) by continuously killing the fleas that trigger allergic skin reactions.
How to Apply
- Application: Part the fur at the base of the neck or between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Squeeze the entire contents of the pipette directly onto the skin.
- Safety & Warnings: For external use on dogs only. Do not use on cats or puppies younger than 8 weeks. Prevent treated dogs from licking the application area until completely dry.
