Extick Powder is a veterinary topical ectoparasiticide used to control ticks, fleas, and lice on dogs and cats. It typically contains Propoxur (1% w/w) as the active ingredient, which acts as a contact poison to paralyze and kill parasites.

Ingredients

• Excipients / Fragrance: Included to absorb moisture and leave a pleasant scent on the fur.

How to Use

1. Application: Dust the powder evenly over the pet’s body, avoiding the eyes, nose, and mouth.
2. Rubbing: Gently rub the powder into the coat and down to the skin. Brush the hair against the direction of growth while applying.
3. Frequency: Typically applied once or twice a week depending on the severity of the infestation.

Safety & Precautions

• Restricted Use: Do not use on puppies or kittens under 4 weeks of age.
• Toxicity Warning: The powder is for external veterinary use only. Prevent your pet from licking the treated area, as ingesting propoxur can be harmful.
• Application Limits: Avoid applying to broken, inflamed, or cut skin. Do not inhale the dust, and always wash your hands after application.
